There's No Tying in Baseball?!

03/29/08

By Mike Stone

Yes there is- Red Sox 5, Dodgers 5

The Red Sox remained undefeated with a tie against the Dodgers on Saturday. Deron Barner made a solid start and left the game after 2 innings for a basketball tournament.  The Red Sox tied the game in the fourth and traded 2 more runs with the Dodgers in the fifth.  The game was kept tight with the impressive pitching of Deuce McAllister.  Unfortunately, the time limit was exceeded and the game was called a tie as another game time was approaching.

The coaches noticed greatly improved play by a number of indivduals as well as a strong team effort. Jonah Cohen was awarded the Player of the Game for his many fine defensive plays and clutch hit.  Continued emphasis will be placed on baserunning to take advantage of all opportunities.

The Red Sox will play the Angels next on Tuesday.

Should the Angels try to keep Mark Teixeira?
