Tustin Youth Baseball Association is proud to sponsor PONY baseball in the city of Tustin. PONY is a fun baseball program for kids from age 3 to 14 years old of all skill levels.
Pony is complete baseball and allows you to lead off by age 9, base stealing by age 7, and more Major League Baseball action than any other league around.
No matter what your skill level is, Tustin Pony has a division for you. If you are looking for recreational play or a more challenging baseball experience in our select league, Tustin Pony is the best place to improve your skills in a fun, family environment.
We hope everyone is happy and healthy. To those who are on the front lines, working to keep our communities healthy and safe, we THANK YOU! We know that wonderful things happen when we come together to address issues and support each other.
Governor Gavin Newsom and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, announced Wednesday April 1st, 2020, that all California schools will remain closed to students through the end of the 2019-20 school year as a result of increased COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases throughout the state. This closure includes, but is not limited to, all classrooms and buildings, all fields, tennis and basketball courts, gymnasiums, swimming pools, and all parking lots until May 28th, 2020.
We understand that the pandemic is a fluid situation and we ask for your patience and understanding in these uncertain times. Tustin Pony has always, and will continue, to put the safety and health of its players above all else.
We have no intention of canceling our 2020 season!
We are discussing other options available to our league and the surrounding leagues. Our plans are still evolving; as things are constantly changing in our community. We are hoping to extend our season into the summer months and will provide a more detailed update once the information becomes available. Our kids are asking daily to play baseball.
We all miss the game, the fields, our teams, and our baseball family. The best outcome that we can foresee, is to work together and still have a FULL baseball season once it is safe to do so. Getting the kids to play ball is top of mind as we go forward. They are our priority and we promise to communicate as things come together.
For the time being, we are committed to STAYING HOME and slowing the spread of this virus. In an effort to keep our kids engaged and still have them participate with their teams, we are putting together a few virtual challenges in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye out for some fun activities from your team parents and coaches.
Please continue to monitor our social media and website for additional information.
Thank you and please be safe!
In response to the most recent developments with the coronavirus (COVID-19), Tustin Pony Baseball convened a special meeting on Wednesday, March 18 via teleconference to discuss the current impact on the PONY Community. Representatives from member organizations shared mitigation strategies and discussed planning options for the 2020 Spring, Summer, and All-Star Baseball Seasons.
To date, all PONY leagues have canceled their practices and games for the balance of March and are in the process of canceling for the month of April as well, adhering to current guidance (President's Guidelines PDF 0316) regarding non-essential travel and avoiding social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institute of Health (NIH), and the White House. Tustin Pony will continue to respond accordingly as the situation unfolds over the next few weeks.
The Tustin Pony Board has shifted focus from standard season operations to business continuity and contingency planning. With hope for a safe and vastly improved environment in the coming weeks, current efforts include developing a revised and compressed schedule for the 2020 Baseball Season.
The entire PONY community is unified in its commitment to protect players, coaches, and parents, along with the individual league’s site hosts and all who are associated with the season’s operational structure. This commitment remains the top priority.
Tustin Pony Baseball will continue to release information as more details become available.

Spring is the happiest time of the year for players and coaches as they see their buddies again and get back to doing what they love. That’s especially true this spring, after an offseason in which our players worked furiously to get better.
The fields are open and practices have begun. Opening day and our first games are right around the corner. It is an exciting time at Tustin Pony. Check the schedule for our upcoming events.
Another season has come and gone. The 2019 spring season was a wonderful ride filled with excitement, hard work, perseverance, and growth. Our players showed remarkable confidence in themselves, their teammates, and in their coaches. At the end of the day, win or lose, as long as the players are having fun and learning, that is what truly matters.
We would like to thank all of the players, coaches, umpires, and parents for making this season a memorable one. Tustin Pony is growing and we are thrilled to be a part of it. Every season we look forward to reuniting with old friends and building new long lasting friendships. Every season is a learning experience, not only for the players, but for the league as well. The Tustin Pony board has wild ideas and big plans for the future. The upcoming seasons will be exciting!!
As a league we treasure all of our volunteers and appreciate everything they have done to provide our players and families with a rewarding and successful season.
We would also like to thank all of our sponsors that supported Tustin Pony Baseball this season. With the help of our sponsors we were able to make some much needed repairs and improvements to the field this season. We completely resurfaced the Mighty Mite Field, Bronco Field, and added screens to the Shetland field. We purchased a new drag for field maintenance and were able to tend to a few other minor (but much needed) repairs. Thank you Sponsors for ensuring that the Tustin Pony baseball players have a safe and comfortable field that they can be proud to call their Home Field! Without you, none of this would be possible!!
Again, we thank everyone involved in making Tustin Pony great!
We hope to see you again in the Fall!
